A Hassle Free Method to Find the Best Selling Items on eBay
By: Amanda OBrien

Have you ever spent hours creating some excellent listings for a specific product, and spent a fair amount of your hard earned cash on some stock of course, only to find that no one was interested? Even the top eBay experts have inevitably ended up with one or two products that have been less successful than others. It is certainly difficult to meet an experienced eBay seller that has never made any loss on what they thought would be items of value, particularly at the start of their eBay journey.

Before you start worrying that establishing your own eBay business will bankrupt you though, there is some excellent news. By following a method to find the best selling items on eBay you can minimise any risk and start making some great profit, without any losses.

Consider the following two important pieces of information to remember as you search for potential products to sell:

1. Top best selling items on eBay are not necessarily the best products to sell

There is no denying that eBay is a competitive market. There are thousands of either casual or professional sellers attempting to make either some extra cash, or a full time living, from the auction website. There are plenty of buyers for everyone though, so long as you find a niche market in which you are able to sell your wares for a reasonable profit.

Some of the best selling items on eBay, such as electrical goods and designer clothing, are incredibly competitive areas of the market. There is a chance that you could get lucky and find your auctions noticed by the masses, but the more likely scenario is that you will find yourself so desperate to sell your products that you are making next to no profit per sale.

What is important then is to find a smaller niche within a popular area for you to target. Always remember that items can be bestsellers without necessarily featuring in eBay?s top 10 products sold.

2. Stalk your competition to discover their best selling items

Any expert on eBay will inform you that research is altogether important before choosing what items to sell. You will need to study eBay Pulse, the Advanced Search facility and even other websites such as Amazon to find out what is selling and what people are searching for.

One often forgotten strategy to discover best selling items on eBay is often forgotten though. Let?s say there is a product that you have discovered that you assume will sell successfully. Before making any expensive purchases or starting to create any listings, check out if your competition have sold any similar items recently. You can look at any completed listings of the individual or business in question to see exactly how much said item sold for, how many bids were received and more.

If your rivals were successful and made a good profit per item then why shouldn?t you? Never be afraid to imitate success.
